Vitatabs Rauta + C contains iron bisglycinate and vitamin C. Iron bisglycinate is a type of chelated amino acid complex consisting of an iron (Fe2+) ion bonded to 2 glycine molecules. This chemical structure is responsible for the superior bioavailability and gastrointestinal tolerability of iron bisglycinate compared with other forms of iron. 
 
Iron bisglycinate has been shown in studies to be effective in increasing iron stores (more so than ferrous sulphate and iron polymaltose complex) with less risks of secondary iron overloading, while being gentle on the gastrointestinal tract. 
 
Vitamin C helps with iron absorption and utilisation. 
 
Vitatabs Rauta + C is suitable for use in iron-deficiency anaemia, and iron-deficient states (e.g. pregnancy and lactation, the elderly and adolescents).
 
Ingredients: Iron bisglycinate, plant-based capsule shell hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, ascorbic acid, magnesium salts of fatty acids
 
Daily dosage of 1 capsule provides:
Iron (as iron bisglycinate)             80mg
Vitamin C                                            80mg
 
Dosage: 1 capsule per day. Avoid taking at the same time as tea, coffee, dairy products or calcium preparations.
