Iron citrate  - Vitamin tablet
 
Iron is essential to the formation of red blood cells and for oxygen transport. Iron deficiency can occur during periods of increased demand such as pregnancy and lactation. It may also occur with poor iron intake or increased blood loss such as women experiencing heavy menstruation. Symptoms such as fatigue and shortness of breath are common with iron deficiency anemia.
 
Ferroforte B+C contains iron citrate which is a well-absorbed form of iron. Iron citrate causes less gastrointestinal discomfort compared with other forms of iron (e.g. ferrous sulphate, ferrous gluconate). In addition, Ferroforte B+C is formulated with vitamins B and C to aid the absorption and utilization of iron.
 
Ingredients:
Anti-caking agent E460, Iron citrate, Ascorbic acid (Vitamin C), Surface finishing agent E 470b, Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12), Pyridoxine hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Thiamin mononitrate (Vitamin B1), Riboflavin (Vitamin B2), Pteroylmonoglutamine (Folate)
 
Daily dosage (1 tablet) contains:
Iron (elemental) - 18 mg
Vitamin C - 60 mg
Vitamin B12 - 3 mcg
Vitamin B6 - 2.2 mg
Vitamin B1 - 1.4 mg
Vitamin B2 - 1.6 mg
Folic acid - 300 mcg
 
Dosage: 1 tablet per day. For supplementation during pregnancy, take 2 tablets per day to meet WHO recommendation of 30mg - 60mg elemental iron per day.
